These four young women are friends who grew up together in the barbarian kingdom of the Coast of Storms, on a large island continent teeming with danger and unforgiving elements. They were each born and brought up in a specific discipline, and have trained together since childhood. Even though their specialties are different, they form a unit that can function on the battlefield on its own, or with other troops in a larger, more encompassing campaign. Together they’re stronger.

Although they’re still in training, they are very advanced for their age (average age 19 years old), and have seen battles with seasoned regiments. This is thanks to Fawnlum, training extra hard and dragging the others along in her punishing regimen. And since they’re not dead yet, she keeps pushing them onward.
